im on my second ibiza and im loving it mate, the second i sold the first one i regreted it,the engines are pretty solid, as long as its been looked after and you do the normal checks your be ok,,it wont feel as alive as your rs but thats due to the build quality being quite good, re map one of these and they go very well, the only reason 90k would put me off personally is the fact that when you come to sell, it'll have over 100k which never looks good, hope this helps and good luck looking mate, daz

Ah right, well it depends on the seller, if you think they are into cars, you could ask about coil packs, re-cric valve (whether its been changed), etc etc

Havent had paint issues with mine, apart from stonechips.

If they are an old person/couple (?) then just the usual overall checks.

Do a search on Cupra R's and Cupra's littel differences here and there, plus an extra 25bhp

Damn, but its worth it to get a good Cupra R... plus the travelling back will be awesome.

Best thing to do, is browse the site, look at various pictures, and just see if its worth the journey....

Oi ! They aren't slow! lol

How do you knwo from the REG? Doing an insurance quote? Yeah that'll tell you if its a Cupra or a Cupra R.

Unless he has had the ECU swapped.

Surely you got a number? Might be worth ringing him/her and having a chat before travelling?

i bought the car, it has a few problems but not 2 bad, the power isn't there like my fiesta but once the revs pick up then it goes, needs a damn good service engine bay is full of black crap from the motorway use, and it needs a good t cut and polish, but i had it for a good price so i cant grumble 2 much £4000, so now for the next thing DUMP VALVE where and how to fit same thing for a BOOST GAGE any body got any pictures they can send me to show where to fit these things, it looks a lot more complicated than my fiesta, so any help would be appreciated

Boost gauge fitting.

ACIDSTRATO said:
ok to hook the gauge up, run a piece of vacuum hose from the nipple on the brake servo pipe to the left of the throttle body. It should be bunged up with a green plug if its not been touched before

now u need to run the vac to your boost gauge in the cabin, bcos of the location of the piller many ppl seem to pry up part of the window seal and poke the feed through. as i have a centre console panel im not sure how to do this sorry but someone will or do a search theres been plenty of threads

it was an easy route for me as theres a small hole in the bulkhead to pass the feed through which is in the passenger footwell. poked the hose through and it was sitting nicely inside

for lighting the gauge on the drivers piller u can wire it into the headlight control switch..again, a simple search will provide u with all u need to know if u ant wait for another reply
