SEAT Ibiza 1.2 TSI ITech Garmin Bluetooth Problems

I have a 65 Plate SEAT Ibiza ITech and I've been having some problems with the Bluetooth on the Garmin unit inside. When playing music it either plays it through the speakers of my iPhone 6 or skips through the song and not playing properly. When using the hands free it also uses my phone speakers instead of the car. All the settings in my phone and on the Garmin are right and it has worked in the past. I have noticed it works better when the Stalk is being held down. I've had it in my local Dealer SG PETCH twice to be checked and they've even replaced the unit and stalk which leads me to thinks its the connection inside the car. It's definitely not my phone because i've had it replaced by Apple and it I have tried other phones such as my Grandad's Moto G4 Play and the issue has occurred.

Does anyone know how my dealer would rectify this problems as I don't want the dash of my car to have to be took off or something for that small part and has anyone else had these problems in the Ibiza or Mii's that have the Garmin PID fitted and if so did you and how did you get this resolved?

I had a 2013 SEAT Ibiza 1.4 Toca before my ITech with the Garmin PID fitted and I never once had a problem. I should have waited the extra month and got the New Ibiza with Full Link haha.

Same problem here, Iphone6, 15 FR Black.

Its the phone not the garmin. At some point I think an IOS update changed something with compatibility with the bluetooth.

Only solution I had was to change my phone to an android, worked perfectly everyday for about 2 weeks, switched back to my iphone, day 2 problem back.

worked fine for the first year, then in the last 12 months its done it almost everyday - I usually hard reboot both to fix it.

I was using the custom/kernal/skins from the other thread for the digital speedo, I did a full reset back to stock, didnt make a difference to this problem.

:/

In the end after the two visits to the dealer mentioned and a further visit along with 2 crashes within 2 months of each other (non of them my fault) I decided it was time to ditch the Ibiza ITECH and I upgraded to a Nearly New 1.2TSI 90PS Ibiza Connect 3-Door so I had the new built in screen and access to Apple Car Play.

I was explained to by Pulman SEAT Sunderland that the version of Bluetooth in the Garmin Units are out of date compared to what Apple use in the iPhones and that could have been a cause of the issues. So the best solution without buying a new car is to buy an AUX cable and plug it into the car directly,
