Really need some help and advise on making a complaint to seat chesterfield!

I ordered a new seat leon reference with the full btcc kit, so did the usual and shopped around until i found the cheapest deal which was with chesterfield. Now when i went there everything was as expected, got the royalty treatment and so on....

After a few days i decided i wanted a colour change and was told it would take 5weeks to order a new one in! Didn't believe this because of how rude the person was who i spoke to. So spoke to the sales manager and he said he could order one in within 7days.

My car was delivered to the dealers on time, now it was time for the kit to go on. So i called several times to confirm how far they had progressed with it and they had told me its in the body shop as we speak and will be complete in 2weeks.

I then called again after 2weeks they said your car is ready come and collect in a few days after the pdi is done. Called again after a few days and now they tell me the front bumper has a unrepairable crack and that it was on order for next day delivery. So i told them i would take the car with the whole kit on apart from the front bumper, which they said was okay.

Now when i went down to collect the car none of the kit was on, only the alloys and chrome mirrors, so at this point i was furious[:@] When i asked about the rest of the kit they told me the side skirts was linked to my front bumper so they had to take everything off to put it back on!!!!! What b@llox!!!

So i spoke to the sales manager and he said he'd give me a replacement car, Altea tdi, full tank of diesel, car delivered to my home in Huddersfield in 7days, with all my old parts delivered. So i left there half satisfied.

Now i got a call saying i wont recieve my car within the 7days they promised because the bumper still isnt here!!!!!!!

What action should i take??? I am really upset and the excitment of getting my new car has been ruined due to being messed about. In the last month i called the dealers 31times!!! to make sure everything went well but instead i was taken for a ride and spoken to very rudely.

Please advise me on what to do next, and trust me you DO NOT want to order a car from here as they will happly take your money but the staff are not trained very well at all, they get told that the side skirts are attached to the front bumper and that the whole car needs to be aligned together once the kit is on

After doing a search on here its not the first time they have messed people about on services and sales!

31 times!!!! if i was the dealer i'd be as pissed of as you are but for the other reason!

The btcc kits are in short supply, i know of some posts from a while ago being quoted September for their kit.. (a search would probably find the post).

Its not the dealers fault there is a lack of supply, nor is it their fault there is a crack in the bumper.

IMHO - take what they have offered it sounds quite reasonable to be honest considering they "could" have offered nothing.

you can call the dealer 10000000000000000000 times and still they have to treat you like king why??? because you are paying for that you are a customer if you treat you customer as a king you will have him there forever and his family and friends and he will service his car there with a smile even if you rape him with the price....

if a customer buys from you and you treat him like a god he always is going to return to you because he knows he is going to be treated like he wants to... most people never understand that and that is why most people hate dealers

if i paid £17k - 20k I want the guys home number and mobile number as well. They are paid to service us, they are not doing us a f****ng favour, thats their job.

Sounds like the dealer is a total waste of space. There is no way it should have taken 2 weeks to do the kit, thats bollocks. Also the delay on the colour change, also bollocks.

I guess you have a crap dealer, I guess lesson learnt. I just hope you havent paid for the car yet. I would walk away while I can if I was you, that might get a rocket up their backside. Tell them to stick it and go somewhere else. I wouldnt stand for it.

Tam- the point of the matter is, although they received 31 calls they were still unable to make sure my car was ready on time. It is obvious they do not take customers seriously, providing a excellent customer service is what they are there for.

It couldn't possibly take the body shop 2 weeks to realize theres a unrepairable crack in the bumper and its clear no action was taken to order one in time. If they had taken the time to drop me a call and let me know its not going to be ready then i wouldn't be as p*ssed.

Seadragon- unfortunately the car has been paid for in full so i did mess up there, but i intend to get my moneys worth. Only downside is the lack of customer service.

Customer service, whats that? The lack of regard from maindealers and customer support of SEAT seems to be on the up.
I never had any decent support by after sales, infact i wonder if anything was checked apart from a valet each time, not to forget damage caused by disregard of my property when having something added to the car.
Sorry if this kind of talk p***es people off when reading, but that is the sort of treatment i have had.
SEAT need a revised course in customer support, one which works for the customer, and not how to wind the customer up with sarcasm.
Also this having to replicate first business is just silly, why not just go to the part that is being described by the customer and checking to see if there is a problem, rather than being told they cant replicate the trouble and telling you that you have to make notes yourself if it happens again, not to worry like that you are having to drive away with a potential fault still.
Rant over:whistle:
