Seat Cordoba - Engine Revving issue

Good morning folks.
I'm driving a Seat Cordoba 1.2 Petrol 2005 and about 5 weeks ago I got the ABS and Handbrake lights coming on constantly. Ended up getting the ABS control unit replaced which fixed the problem. The last 3 weeks intermittently when I stop say at traffic lights and have the car out of gear the engine starts revving up by itself really high and the EPC light comes on. When I go to take off there is no power. Restarting the car fixes it, power is restored and the EPC light goes off. Yesterday while driving home I pulled in to take a call and the revving of the engine started again and EPC light on. I restarted the engine but the ABS and Handbrake lights both came on then with a alarm type noise that lasted about 5 seconds. Since then the ABS and Handbrake lights are on 70% of the time but this morning I drove 30 mins before they came on. A mate the EPC light and no power may be due to a faulty accelerator pedal and this gives erroneous ABS and Handbrake lights. Has anyone encountered this issue or have any idea how to fix or any advice please

Rgds,
Daniel

earlier models used to be able reset throttle bodies by disconnecting the battery for 15mins but you'll need to turn ignition on after (without starting) for a few mins after that

ideally using Vag-Com is the most precise way but for life of me can't remember the procedure if you search throttle body reset should bring up a few guides

welcome by the way

must admit there's a couple of late cordoba's about now but still a rare car that
