There is something very unsettling about the SEAT [Approved] Used Cars pricing policy.
There were three identical spec (except for mileage) 2.0TSI FRs on the SEAT website.
Originally (about 3-4 weeks ago) they were priced at:
2010/10, 5,918 miles - priced at £14,950.
2010/10, 8,304 miles - priced at £14,950
2010/10, 11,311 miles - priced at £14,250.
Last week the prices changed to:
2010/10, 5,918 miles - priced at £14,450 (down £500)
2010/10, 8,304 miles - priced at £14,750 (down £200)
2010/10, 11,311 miles - priced at £14,550 (up £300)
Now the car that has only done 5,918 miles is cheaper than the other two higher mileage cars!
Shortly after the price change, the 2010/10, 5,918 mile, 2.0TSI FR was removed from the website. (I presumed it had been sold).
I'm registered for SEAT Used Car Alerts and today I received an email offering me the 2010/10, 5,918 mile 2.0TSI FR for £13,999 (down another £451). It was a completely useless Used Car Alert email because it didn't give a link to the car and I can't find the car on the SEAT [Approved] Used Cars webpage, so I couldn't buy it if I wanted to.
Is this how SEAT usually operate, or do they sometimes get their act together?
Last week I also sent SEAT an email via their 'Contact Us' webpage. They haven't bothered to respond. Is this indicative of their usual level of customer care?
