Screeching Noise

The car has developed a screeching sound when accelerating. I have narrowed it down to between 1000 and 2000 rpm and when the DSG is in 4th or 5th. It sounds like clutch squeal or a water pump. Its been to the dealer twice now but they can't pin point the noise. They think it could be a leaking hose letting air escape but can not generate this standing still. Can anyone shed any light to help.

Alternator belt is the usual cause of a screech from pick up that disappears as revs get up.

Will be worse if electrics are loaded ie EVERYTHING switched on, since it puts a higher load/resistance on the alternator pulley.

Maybe belt going, maybe just tensioner needs tweaking.

Dealer has finally diagnosed the noise, apperantly the case to the turbo has cracked which is leeting air escape. new turbo required 3 day job in next week if the part arrives.
