hi all
some lil barstool has put a nice scratch down my door about 4 inchs long down to the metal ive had quotes of 150 to 180 to get it done is there any idea or ways to get the scratch out without havin my door resprayed as ive only just like 2 months ago had that doorand wing done as some other lil barstool fell off a bike and dented the shite out of it thanks

Could try chips away or one of the other scratch removal companies if they operate in your area. Used Chips away before and the guy did a good job on polishing out a couple of scratches and colour matching the paint on the door mirror after I scratched that

tried them m8 wanted 180 to do it ive ordered some scratch remover stuff says it will do they job for 15 quid cant really lose much ill post pics if it works

If the scratch is down to the metal you're not going to polish it out, the only solution for that would be painting.

I've found some scratches on my motor have looked bad but are only the laquer (sp?) They do cut out even the deep looking ones, you just then need to use a polishing wax to take out the fine scratch marks from the cutting compound you end up using

sorry mate but if its down to the metal no scratch paste or polish will make it any better, chips away are crap from what i have seen, the only way to get it sorted is to have the door resprayed. £100-150 depending on where you take it.
