the only thing that turns me off about the tolly is the bland looks :(

reality is, (I looked at a 1.9 TDi sport 150) about £3k less than a leon cupra, and it only costs about £800 for front and rear bumpers plus some decent alloys :)

the Tolly never got recognised as a "sports" car, but i would have one tomorrow, given that i could do a "leon facelift" on it straight away :)

i havent seen a decent rear bumper for the tolly yet! body colouring goes a long way to improve the looks! Cut un Shut would be a good way to make a nice looking rear bumper if you had the skill!

lowering, and skirt with fat alloys also improved it.......but deffo no sports car when loaded!
 reminds me, need to empty the boot!

Toledo never benefitted from the R styling added to the leon range unfortunately (though of course there are retro options). Style wise, although I agree the rear bumber as standard limits its sporty pretensions I always felt the Leon was rather 'chopped off' (personal taste of course). Undecided about the rear light reflector continuing across the boot, but I have always thought the Toledo's haunches were rather sexy myself - the curve from the rear wheel arch to the boot I think gives it it's identity, and I like it (- but I would as I own one!). Exclusivity is another plus - go days on end without seeing another (even on a London comute).

It doesn't look that different but if you scroll between Sam's car and that one you can see the original black one is smooth to the painted bit. Silver Surfer's sits a bit more proud and doesn't taper in as much from a side profile.

IMO not sure it creates a mrked enough difference though.

The later Tolly's benefitted from colour coded valances....
have seen a silver 54 where i live.....

plan to get it done at same time as cupra bumper........when i can spare the time it will be off the road so i can get the rear bumper off!

i dont know why they didnt code the rub strips too.........they are an eye sore in black IMO:)
