Running Problems, ideas?

Hi there,

My 52 cupra 1.8t has a few issues.

I had massive problems causing the car to hesitate lots, usually around 3.5k onwards, sort of coming on and off boost. It was best to run in 6th for a half decent ish run. The car also felt fairly slow.

I replaced the MAF and all was great for approx 100miles. I now have similar problems, although not as bad but they still remain.

Im running remap, EVOMS direct open air cold air intake/filter, and turboxs re-circ valve.

Any ideas?

Stupid question, but have you VAG-COM'd the fault codes for the engine?

failing N75 valves can cause this aswell, quite a few people have or have had this problem, me included

if maf has failed again.. worth noting they hate vibration and filter oil. check its secure and that the filter isnt over oiled.

The filter is not that oiled, and i have looked at maf and it looks still really clean. Its really annoying. Not really considered viberation! Are there any uprated MAF available?Hopefully laptop will be back tomorrow!

i live over near Norton, i used to work at the old First bus garage at Halfway though but changed jobs since.
The N75 is a really easy fix its on your TIP near the air filter with 3 hoses and an electrical connector going into it don't know about cost though, roughly between £40-£60 i think

sadly its a no on the uprated maf front.
not unknown for a new maf to fail if your unlucky. if its acting up in a similar way as before you could disconnect the maf and see if it improves? dont run it like this for long tho.

Hope its a nice obvious thing that can be sorted quick
