Roof Dis-colouring due to roof rack :( & bonnet

I do alot of mountain biking, so had a roof rack permenantly on my onvi yellow Ibiza Cupra for the past 2 weeks. (now i can see some of you enthusiasts asking 'WHHHHY put a roof rack on a Ibiza Cupra??!!' lol)

However, i took it off tonight, and was gutted to see the areas on each side of the roof by the roof rack slots are seriously dis-coloured!! They are now a more pale yellow colour.

My first thought was it will polish/t-cut out, so i tried t-cutting it, but it made it worse!! It seems the more i rub it, the more the area fades!

I can literally turn the onvi yellow into a paler yellow colour just by a quick rub.

Has anyone experienced this? I thought maybe with time, and the sun on it, it may come back...is this possible?

Also, my bonnet has faded slightly, has anyone suceeded in getting it polished back to a more original shade of the onvi yellow? If so...it maybe possible to polish my roof areaback to the original colour!?

Any help is VERY appreciated

Maybe a car detailer could do it, but they cost a small fortune, due to time and effort involved.

lol, the need to transport my bikes and the like of the Ibiza Cupra means a roof rack is the only means!

Beleive it or not, the faded parts on the roof area have blended in more to the overall roof colour. Didnt even think this was possible?!

There is a definate improvement over night, just going to see what happens with a little more time.
