Rolling road results are in!!!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all those that gave advice on the remap! Finally Bluefin’ed the Cupra and got a Pipercross panel filter installed. Had a rolling road last night and was pleasantly surprised with the results:

Power at Flywheel 312.1 Bhp at 6439rpm
Power at Wheels 266.5Bhp
Maximum Engine Torque 280.1 Lb ft at 5241rpm

Interestingly though, I had the panel filter fitted at the same time as the rolling road, so the guy did a run before fitting which was 303.6 then fitted the panel filter and did another run which came out with the above results. Not sure whether that was due to the engine cooling down while he fitted it? As 9bhp from a panel filter sounds a lot but either way I’m very happy with the results :D

Will upload the graphs when I get back from work.

Cheers to the Guys are Stealth Motorsport

Look at it another way. It's a 2.7997% increase. Which seems more likely. But quick car *mumbles mumbles of jealousy*

Power at the wheels looks a tad low IMO. From what I have seen, there is an approx 10%-12% drivetrain loss on r/r graphs for the MK2 Leon.

There is a 17% drivetrain loss here which is a bit high, but it may of course be attributable to rolling road settings, tyre pressures etc.

This might be the reason for the peak torque figure also looking a bit low.

It would be nice to see the graph if its available :). Link to other r/r graphs here

Hello Shadow!
Nice results, but one question.
Have you got a different exhaust at all or standard? I took my car direct to Superchips last Friday where they reprogrammed Bluefin whilst I waited. It was an interesting drive home! I have a Milltek full system. Superchips were saying 320 - 330 with my set-up, including a panel filter.

Just a thought.

Hi Stupra

Mine hasnt gotany modifications other then the panel filter and stage one remap on it at the moment. Hopefully getting an exhaust soon. ;-)

@djhorace i will get the graphs up hopefully tomorrow (gonna have to scan them in at work) out of curiosity what sort of bhp were you expecting to see? i never know which one chip manufacturers quote.... the at flywheel bhp or the at wheel bhp? superchips claimed 294bhp but it never said which one it was?

Cheers
