Ah ok then! Will keep an eye out for you then whenever I'm round the Crewe area.

The headlight protectors you've got, is that how they come? Or have you put some kind of 'honeycombed' layer over them?

No they do come as a plain plastic cover and Lee (nibbles) put the honeycomb effect on them. They are growing on me and as a few have said now the pics don't really do them justice, they look a lot better in the flesh.

Sorry i missed you at the meet Tim, I didn't even realise you were going to be there

You didn't miss me Willie! in fact i was the only one who took one of the Stella's you were handing out when stripping the car. I was with John most of the time and we did say have a chat, I introduced myself with my actually name which made it harder for you to recall no doubt where as your name was a tad easier ;)

Yeah definately, I know you mentioned a couple of trips to Awesome maybe planned, you thinking of doing there birthday bash at the end of August?
I went in past on the way up the road and got the guided tour from John.
August I have a track day but don't plan to drive the Leon down south without having a track day/national meet/nurburg ring on my mind

yeah I suppose it is a trek to be fair, nice to meet you though anyway mate and like you say i'll make sure I make myself fully known next time :D
Yup. i think I was one of the more obvious people there between stripping the car on Saturday and wandering about in shorts and wellies on sunday, lol

Well the first part of the suspension mods has turned up, thanks to Awesome as usual. I've got with Weitec 50mm shocks and dampers to achieve roughly a 30mm drop i hope. Weather permitting these along with the new top mounts will go on come Sunday, pics to follow.

New bits for car look good Tim

I predict tho you will be swapping them for Coilys soon ;) a 30mm drop is hardly noticable

Looking at Phil C's 30mm is exactly how low i want to go to be honest Andy, i've got no intention of it being a regular track car , the exception may be a ring trip next year but for the day to day use coilies aren't for me anymore, i understand why the likes of John has them but his car is a different ball game. My ideal drop will get rid of most of the wheel to arch gap. :)

 yeah and theres that and more importantly my sump :D

I'm trying to get on with the "major" or what i class as major mods for my project this year and then next year hopefully save for the ring, it's the best car i've had , it deserves a trip there, fingers crossed
