Having previously had Recaros in my car, I missed the style and shape but not the leather (too slidey, cold in winter, hot in summer, etc.), so when I saw these on eBay I went for and got them for pretty cheap.

They are the optional cloth Recaro front seats for the Cupra, quite rare as hardly anyone got them. I should have them tomorrow and will fit them this weekend.

Leather was sold a year ago, but it is back up for sale by the new owner, check the for sale section.

The Recaro front seats have just arrived and they are *mint*, they look brand new, I'm well chuffed. Pics soon.

I fitted them this afternoon and they are great, alot more supportive than the stock seats and the lumbar adjustment is great too. Much prefer them to the leather too.

OK a couple of updates. The B&M shifter knob has always annoyed me, you know as with all metal gearknobs - freezing in the winter and burning hot in summer. So I got myself a Richbrook leather gearknob (£25) and a suede gaiter for the shifter, to match the OMP steering wheel.

Out with the old:

In with the new:

Looks great and feels SOOOOO much better, it even comes with the correct shift pattern on the top (6-speed top left reverse - B&M shifter makes reverse lift up top left). The suede gaiter feels great too, only cost £10 off eBay! I'm looking for a suede handbrake cover now too! Gearknob is here (5th one down):

Here's a pic of the new Recaros I got off eBay, I am convinced they are brand new!

I really like the look of your knob Rob! I like what you’ve put round your knob too! ;)

Does look smart though! :D

No new pics yet, but I've sent a load of parts off to be powdercoated this week, including:

1. Backdraft baffled sump
2. SEM intake manifold
3. Intercooler pipes
4. 034 coilpack heatshield

Should be fitting my carbon mirrors this week and making a start on building my own carbon air filter enclosure from scratch! I've ordered new silicone hoses from Roose Motorsport too, so the freshly powdercoated pipes should look great with the new hoses.

Hopefully the new 70mm throttle body will arrive around the same time as the SEM comes back!

Finally the snow and ice is gone, so with a nice, mild, dry day I decided to fit my APR Formula GT3 carbon mirrors. The first ones i tried were way too small, but these are bigger and higher quality, so I fitted them and am happy with the view from them this time, they have blue-tinted convex glass for a nice wide view and the carbon looks good with the carbon bonnet.

In case some people have never heard of APR, more info here:

Another minor plus is they are much lighter than the stock mirrors, no electric motors etc.. :D

Next job is to refit the powdercoated intercooler pipes and refit the SEM manifold, got to get the dremel out and clean excess powdercoat off the gasket faces first though.
