Here you go Jamie, pics of my mudflaps:

I also removed my door mouldings as I noticed some paint flaking off them, so I removed them to be repainted and spent 2 hours removing the double-sided sticky tape! Fortunately under all the dirt and gunk the paint is still in mint condition after 7 years.

Got the new OMP WRC suede steering wheel fitted this morning, feels awesome and sits in a better position for me, as I have long legs I always felt the wheel was always slightly too far away from me, now it sits perfect, the OMP wheel has a small dish to it bringing it forward a bit, I can still reach the indicator stalks etc. too though. Horn works fine and airbag light goes out too, so it's all good! :D

The wheel is slightly smaller too at 350mm diameter, compared to 370mm of the R32 wheel, but none of the instruments are blocked at all.

If all is ok I'll be selling the R32 steering wheel in the new year.

Why thank you!

Yes I'm doing more 'motorsport' type mods these days, carbon bonnet, bonnet pins, WRC steering wheel etc..

I have found and ordered better carbon mirrors so I am redoing the original ones I did, these are a bit bigger and closer to the car, so should be spot on, same bases.

I'll be removing the SEM intake manifold tomorrow, to replace it with a standard BAM manifold and standard throttle-body. Unless I feel a huge drop in power I'll be selling it to help fund moving to a bigger turbo, most likely a Garrett GT28RS. IbizaAlex's car was making big power with the fast-spooling 0.64 A/R version of the GT28RS, nearly 360bhp on the stock inlet and TB, so it makes sense for me to buy a bigger turbo over a bigger inlet manifold.

If I can't sell it I'll send it off for polishing and refit it and forget the turbo upgrade!

Well, well .... the SEM does indeed make a big difference! Switching back to stock mani and TB this morning felt horrible, felt like the engine was sucking through a straw - so I came straight back and refitted the SEM, just finished half an hour ago!

This time I took my time and cleaned off all the surfaces, rubbed down the phenolic spacer, cleaned everything with IPA, wrapped all the threaded hose connections with ptfe tape, made sure everything was tight and sealed. I sprayed the new gaskets with the blue Hylomar instant gasket spray before fitting, so hopefully they'll make a better seal this time. I also replaced all the vacuum hosing with new blue Forge silicone . I sealed round the IAT sensor with Hylomar too. We'll see now if the pressure drop fault code goes away now, if it doesn't then it's the 80mm TB that's causing it.

I also extended the injector wiring so there is no strain on them now, they're all properly soldered, heatshrunk and covered with black braided sleeving.

So all in a very busy day but I feel very happy now that the SEM is buttoned up properly, plus it is doing an awesome job so it is staying on the car, I'll just have to save for a wee while longer before going GT28RS - lol!!!

Was that a BAM intake manifold you swapped this with and a 70mm OEM throttle body?
Or the 80mm throttle body with the BAM manifold?

Good to see it was worth the money.
Did you do any logs for this or was it too obvious to bother.
Did you do a ECU reset prior to testing this after fitting?
