I agree with you on not getting enough back for the car as a whole, hence why most have to break their cars to get something back. It's a real shame but it's reality as you say.

Good luck on selling the stuff and hope you keep the car :)

Did you hear back on the speeding yet?

I would only sell it if I really had no choice and things were desperate, but it's far from that just now, hopefully from here on in things are set to improve financially, all I am doing is getting rid of unnecessary things.

Nothing on the speeding yet - but if it is is 3 points and £60 then I am just going to accept it and move on.

I was wondering where you were hiding Rob, you keeping well? :)

Also know exactly what you mean about not getting back what you pay for bits on the car.

Did you hear anything further after meeting some of Lothian & Borders finest in September? :cop:

All fine here too ta, just keeping busy! Will be interesting to see how they claim a 70 zone is suddenly a 60 without any temporary speed limit signs up. I wonder if they've realised that now

I think I will keep the 2 most important gauges (to me) - oil temp and oil pressure, and sell the water temp, fuel pressure and boost pressure. Defi link BF gauges cost around £160 each, so hopefully I'll get decent money for them on ebay.

Good choice. Still believe the oil pressure gauge is one of the most important. You keeping the gauges in the custom pod you made in the air vents or the pillar pod?

OK - wow - I put all 5 of my Defi gauges and control unit up on ebay this morning and they have sold for £250 already!!!

So ... I am looking for a couple of cheaper 60mm gauges that best match the LCR dash - white face, red needle that illuminates red at night. Anyone recommend any gauges for around £40-50 per gauge? So far all I have found are these:

Did you sell all 5 Defi's for £250??? Bargain! I've got Boost, Oil Temp Controller, sensors, fitting Kit and pods and paid well over £500 a couple years ago... was looking to sell mine sometime, but was looking for £350'ish for all above! The market's obviously gone down for quality guages:(

All the Defi gauges and associated wiring have all been removed, packed up and gone. There was a ton of wiring for five gauges, sensors and the control unit - took a while to remove it all without damaging any of it!. I have relocated the E-boost street control unit and the warning LED for low water/methanol level, refitted the centre air vent as well ... looks alot more standard and understated now! Less for potential thieves to eye up too.

I am enjoying driving it every day though!!! :D

My youngest daughter asked me "you're not taking things off the engine to make it slower are you?" Lol, no I am not!
