Revs freely at idle...?

Hi folks,

Driving back from work today, I got home, parked up and noticed after reversing into my space the revs starting going a bit funny, not literally, because I wasnt laughing...think: ) but seemed to be going from 800rpm to 1200rpm in rapid succession.
Eventually about 10 seconds later it stopped and went back to normal.


I have Vag Com so I could go check it but I just wondered if that would pick anything like that up, especially if its a loose pipe or something, is it likely to be a spring in the DV (Forge 007P) needing to be changed?

Any ideas or should I just vag com it now?

mine has done this a couple of times as well.. Seems to be happening more recently now Im guessing its something on its way out ?

Probably MAF lol, whats your mileage dude? Mines about 51k

Noticed mine when starting has got a flexible idle at the moment, its doing the same thing. Will vag-com it, maf log it and judge from there... however mine only does it when starting after that its fine.

I think its about 43k mate.. Ive got another couple of problems coming as well i think (suspension more than likely) so might be a costly couple of months

its not a maf coz mine does it and it did it with the old maf on and still does it with the new maf on so its not the maf
