Revo stage 2+

Whats the power delivery like compared to Stage 2, is it the same just more of, more towards the top end of the rev range?

As they've been able to work around the fuel cuts the car just keeps going right up to the red line without tailing off. Yes you burn a bit more fuel, but it's an acceptable trade off.

I had stg 1 with the fuel pump and there was minimal change in performance, but stage 2 absolutely changes the urgency and pull right to the top. Beyond 5k pre-pump / stage 2 my car always felt a bit lazy.

Power gains & delivery is more mid range, the car feels much more responsive and alive climbing through the rev's more smoothly

hpfp adds more to midrange and torque figures, so headline bhp figures could still be achievable if the map settings are aggressive enough but the power graph wont be as beautiful as that from a stage 2 + car with a hpfp.

That figure is very optimistic on stage 2. think i should come down and see if mine makes 400bhp

TBH thats why i would rather go on a more conservative rolling road like JKM, if you get high output numbers there you know you have a very good car.

I am considering getting a k04 turbo and upgrading to stage 3, anyone know of a used for sale where members may have gone to big turbo route and have their stock turbo sitting in to Garage. How much would a used k04 be going for ?

The stage 2 ran consistant 368-369bhp, other customers have stated that the numbers on my Dastek are lower than what they are expecting!! The main thing - consistancy, the Dastek runs within 1bhp on the same car on different days and as with all dynos, should be used as a tuning tools and for evaluating 'consistant' changes in performance when upgrading parts, rather than what the numbers say compared to another dyno.

From various dyno days etc, the general consensus is that my dyno reads as expected, of course sometimes you get a car that reads lower than expected, or higher than expected, but i bet if the same car came back a week later it would read exactly the same.

You all know to take the actual numbers with a pich of salt, and the whole 'dyno lottery' debate will always continue ( because its true!! ), use dynos to evaluate improvements, before and after.
