Hi

I recently decided to take the plunge and jump from stage 1 to 2+ , in gradual steps as money allowed.

I already had the following prior to my new project, carbon speed induction kit, pipercross panel filter, forge adjustable bov set to recirculate, forge quick shifter and of course Revo stage 1.

I firstly set out with the exhaust, so went to PRO SPEED in Cardiff and on speaking to charlie the owner. He was a wealth of knowledge and made a full custom turbo back system, at a very reasonable price. Including a 3" high flow downpipe, top quality 100 sports cat with a nice oval exit tail pipe. I cannot recommend more enough, a very professional outfit.

I then went straight to Germania in Newport and had the Revo stage 2 remap, I must say that the car was running awesome very response. But the gains were not that not that noticable, in respect to power compared to standard to stage 1, but the exhaust makes the car sound much more mature with a nice growl under accelaration but not chavy if you know what I mean.

I then priced up the hpfp internal such as autotech and kmd, but the prices were £315 - £350 fitted if I went through some of the main aftermarket dealers advertised on this site. So after a lot of surfing the net, I found the kmd tuning hpfp internals for $260 = £158, via NAMOTORSPORTS. It was delivered quicky and only cost approximately £165 in total, delivered to my front door.

I arranged for my local vag specialist EURO PERFORMANCE in pontyclun, to fit the internals which took them an hour or so. They are top draw specialists and I can recommend them to any of the south Wales members, for services or any aftermarket modifications.

Finally I went to GOT SPEED in llandow, who are new authorised Revo dealer. Craig the owner quickly set me up with the stage 2+ reflash. All I can say is wow it's the same feeling I had on just getting the stage 1 for the first time, it is like day & night compared to stage 2 alone. The car is running like a dream and the accelaration is awesome, there is not much that it cannot pull away from in my area.

All in all anyone who are already stage 2, you have to take jump to 2+ you won't be disappointed!

have you upgraded the carbon speed thingy to a proper intake like dbilas or evoms and have you added an intercooler? you may find the car runs slightly rich without a proper intake, well i did.

That impressive figures what are you expecting from the 2+ in gains?, proir to any mods and just with the stage 1 I dyno'd 261 bhp at Westec. So I would like to think at least 290 bhp + with everything else, I'll keep you posted

Like you said the difference between stage 1 and 2 is not great in terms of bhp, the hardware has already made the difference.

On 2+ guess the main gain will be torque.
Don't think there is alot more the KO4 can give in terms of bhp.

I made 305hp on westec rolllers when i first had just the stage 1 Revo.

369 without a pump

Your jesting.

I don't think I have 360 with it.

Hmm take it with a pinch of salt. Torque figure would just be more with pump.
The car did have new intake and dp at the time but has since been on over 8 times and given similar results. The said Dastek rollers have also been fairly accurate on other models on the same days.

.......Dyno lottery.

Whats the power delivery like compared to Stage 2, is it the same just more of, more towards the top end of the rev range?
