I've had my onvi cupra since may it definetly has been remapped that lad who sold thae car to me said it was revo, but he wasn't very nollageable about them. I fitted a boost gauge and the car is boosting to 15psi is that abou right for revo or any other remap?
The car does feel really quick and I know it definetly has been mapped as it boosts more aggresive than my old cupra r.
Reason I ask this is because I have bough a decat downpipe and hope to upgrade my software to stage 2.

revo 1 on standard settings usually peaks at 20-21 but not for long.

you can adjust the settings using an sps, which he may have done.
if you run lower boost settings it will tend to peak less, its perfectly possible it was set up to have more linear boost, perhaps its at low boost 6-7 (old sps settings).

Reasons why they may have done this?
1 could be the fuel he usually used,
2 to make it easier to put the power down.
3 as the ibiza doesnt have very good cooling (intercooler) it may have been set lower to try and counter act heat issues.
4 some prefer the drive lower settings give you.

IMO a otherwise standard but remapped ibiza would probably run well on conservative boost settings.

have you tried an ecu reset?

see if there is anyone around with an sps to experiment.

I'm running Stage 1 Revo and it only boosts to 16/17 max but holds it quite well.

I'd be interested to know if it was down to SPS settings.

just been to my local revo dealer. I asked him if he could check that the car did actually have revo. Guess what? It doesn't! I am leadind to believe that it may be an apr mp as it was remapped at star performance and they used to deal with apr. I know it's not a custom map as the power tails of about 5000-500rpm.

power does tend to drop off early with the K03 turbo the ibiza has. custom map may reduce this a bit.

apr can still hit 21, at least on the leons it does. briefly.
if its holding boost well at 15/16 then id not worry, it is more than twice the stock boost.

Dragging an old thread back up but as above have just fitted my boost gauge this morning and been for a drive and noticed I only peak at 18 PSI (sometimes just 16-17 in different gears), holding at about 13-15 on average when on WOT.

I have a Revo Stg 1 map which I was also always led to beleive peaked in the early 20s.

Should I be looking for small boost leaks or get hold of an SPS and check the settings?

I'm running 99RON V Power and it's fairly cool outside today

OK, decided to scan for DTCs with VAG COM tonight and got the following:

18087 - EPC Warning Lamp (K132) Circuit: Open
P1679 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

18099 - Malfunction Indication Light (K83): Open Circuit
P1691 - 35-00 - -

These don't appear to be listed in RossTech's wiki and the only related post I can find is http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1525648

After taking the car out for ~90 miles tonight I cannot exceed a peak boost of 17PSI, but the car seems fine

I think I'll start by replacing all my std vac hoses with silicone ones to try and eliminate any possible boost leaks but I'd like to know what the above codes mean and whether they could be related.

Any ideas???

Ok cleared these codes last night, replaced my std vac hoses that I'd left in place for the N249 bypass, as well as the inlet mani -> FPR line and have been for a drive since. Re-checked this afternoon an no faults whatsoever.

Still boosting exactly the same - only 3rd/4th/5th seem to hit 17PSI, 1st and 2nd hit 15

I've logged the MAF and it doesn't exceed 160g/s at 5,000 RPM so all seems fine there

If I acquire a proper license for VAG COM I may try logging blocks 032 (Fuel Trims) and 115 to see the specified vs actual boost. I'm assuming specified should show 21 psi at peak?

Anything else I should check in the mean time? I may go round the engine bay later in the week with brake cleaner to see if I can find any other possible leaks - I'm thinking the PCV valve for one.

I assume I'm correct in thinking that Column 3 is specified boost and column 4 is actual - in which case it looks as though everything is OK

I think I need to call the Revo dealer who set this up to see what settings he applied

Any other thoughts from anyone?

Just checked PSI -> millibar and 21psi equates to ~1448 millibars, yet my max requested boost appears to be 2360 (34psi?!)

Could be way off here but should I be discounting 14psi for normal atmospheric pressure? That would make more sense with my 990mbar readings which I assume would have been recorded while off boost, equating to 14.35psi

This would make my peak boost 20psi at 3,800 - 4,200 RPM going by my interpretation of this log
