Revo heat shield dilemma

I've recently purchased the REVO intake system for my K1 , 90% of the kit went on no dramas .. until i get to the heat shield mounting bracket
the battery tray one fits fine but the cold air feed part doesn't.
I have contacted revo and it was hard work getting them to help me out too be honest they told me that the leon has a different front panel and that the bracket doesn't need to be fitted /isnt required for my car
My question is has anyone else come across this problem

Yes I had to use a Dremel to cut away the extra plastic.

What did you and your MK2 do today?

New toy arrived [B)] Ace! Put some thread lock on the bolt that holds it to the engine. I bought a pack of 20 I've lost that many over the years. LOL.
