NOTE: There was a previous thread I created but it has been deleted because I made a request to admins, I created another thread with the removal guide, so I had to re-create this thread

Hi guy's I need your input, I'm getting constant limp mode in my Leon Cupra 1.8T, more details about the car and it's specification can be found in my readers ride thread (click my signature)

This all happened after I removed the n249 valve, which I've successfully done, put in a 330ohm 10w resistor as required
I had various fault codes:

17524 - SORTED WITH NEW 02 SENSOR
17511 - SORTED WITH NEW 02 SENSOR
17608 - SORTED WITH RESISTOR

Still:

17705

Still

0.4 Bar of MAX boost

So far I have checked and replaced:

1. Brand new Bosch MAF, which hasn't done much

2. Brand new Bosch 02 Sensor Pre-Cat, which has got rid of the 02 sensor faults above

3. Checked all hoses in and around turbo for boost leaks, replaced a few of them just for the sake of it to either uprated silicon ones or ultra high quality oil lines

4. Repaired ONE massively split boost hose under the inlet manifold which was causing a poor IDLE, now fixed, there might be another boost leak under here somewhere but not big enough to cause 0.4 bar of max boost.

5. Replace Forge 007p with the standard DV, this hasn't changed anything either, dumps normal like the Forge one, so I've put the Forge 007p back on

6. Fitted New N75 E Valve, hasn't done anything

Things I'm going to do next to cure / fix this

1. Ordered a brand new genuine n75 F valve (Possibly E) - DONE

2. Ordered VAG COM HEX+CAN to do a throttle body reset, log blocks etc should be with me sometime next week - GOT IT

Now I only have one fault code:

17705 - I know this is common as much but I've always had this

It's driving me bonkers! :help:

QUICK CAR SPEC:

Forge 007p,
n249 Removal fitted resistor,
TIP,
FMIC,
A'pexi Filter,
3" CAI,
3" Turbo Downpipe,
2.5" De-Cat,
Milltek Non-Res System,
Boost Gauge

Shell V Power Fuel

this sounds very similar to my problems before christmas and a new n75 cured the limp mode!
but i still got the 17705 code until last weekend when i found the suction jet pump was leaking
all clean

after me blowing into it (if you do this have a spit bucket & mint ready;))

this was my reason for me refitting my catch tank so i could remove the pcv and pipework!
touch wood over a week and no fault codes:D

What's your engine code, AUQ? Did you fit your catch can and remove the PCV system? if so do you have any pictures on how you done, what route you took?

I'm going banana's my car refuses to come out of LIMP MODE

Yes mate map sensor will mess with the boost ;)

Great, front bumper off job again! :(

Ok my VCDS has arrived! 10.6.3 and I can't seem to get the throttle body reset to work, well it does something but the 'on/off' buttons don't appear, any help? I followed this guide:

[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 060
[Go!]
It should say "Basic Settings: OFF" on the top of your screen.
Click [ON/OFF/Next] to turn on Basic Settings.
It should now say "Basic Settings: ON" on the top of your screen.
Once you do this you will see the top right display say ADP RUN. The TB adaptation is being done as soon as you switched basic settings on. You will see the values change and hear the TB cycle for the first few seconds then it will stop. Leave it in Basic Settings for about 30 seconds.
Click [ON/OFF/Next] to turn off Basic Settings.
It should now say "Basic Settings: OFF" on the top of your screen
Click the [Done, Go Back] button and you're all set.

Also can someone point me in the right direction on how to run 'logs' and what should I log for this specific problem I have?

My new N75 E Valve has arrived too, I haven't fitted it yet

That's the kid ;) I know on my cooler the map sensor pipe was pants the hole was a bit big for the sensor could be leaking there?? Have you had it pressure tested?

Make your own MO there's a guide on here to do it you just need to get the right sized bung for your pipework ;)

I've seen that thread mate thanks, I think you can get a ready made one from eBay but I wouldn't know how to use it

Looks like I don't have much of a choice left tbh, I'm going to give it one more crack myself, fit the new n75 valve and attempt to remove the PCV system and fit a catch can

Mo you plug it into your IC paperwork and crank up the pressure simple as mate ;)
