Res & Muffler delete. Thoughts?

Hi

I've been reading this forum for some months now and decided to register.
I bought 2017 Cupra ST 300 4Drive and from the first day of owenership i knew that the exhaust sound is weak. So I've been looking for some solution for this.

I've searched a lot and most common(not expensive) way is to do a resonator delete. Some people do muffler delete but I haven't heard anyone to do both.

So any thoughts about doing res&muffler delete on Cupra ST 300 4drive?

I've done that. Some videos are epic but there aren't so much for ST version but as i read through the 14 pages of resonator delete topic, some people said that with res delete it's better than before but some said it didn't change that much as hoped for.

I’ve a res delete on my ST. Wouldn’t call it stupid loud. Bang on in fact. But being Carbon Edition it was already louder than stock due to the Golf R estate exhaust it comes with.

The issue you may get having an ST, is drone, so you need a res delete with anti drone (what I have).

I got res delete (300 - 5 door) and for me it was way too loud plus really droned between 2-3000 rpm.

I ended up getting a custom made res which was about half the size of the original.

fave good balance of almost zero drone but more pops/bangs and generally sounding a lot sportier but not Asbo loud

There are diffrent companies offering res delete kits. I bought VAGsport res delete and gonna fit it tomorrow but I have the possibility to do muffler delete as well. So I'm juggling my mind if I'm gonna do it or not.
Drone might be the only thing that gonna hold me back but I want it to be as loud as it can be. Pops/bang are what I'm looking for and as I don't want to spend 3,5k for Hurricane exhaust system(right now) then those two deletes are good alternatives.

I have res delete on my 17 reg cupra st 4drive, it does improve the sound and I wouldn't say it's too loud. It was on the car when I got it. Over time I have noticed the drone on long motorway journeys so now looking to change to the anti drone version.

So a straight-through exhaust? wow, that will be loud/noisy surely?

I did res and muffler delete and holy smokes it's awesome. Pops and bangs while taking my foot of the gas pedal is so epic. DSG farts amazing as well. But that overrun pops/bangs are just epic

In the UK it's an MOT fail and likely to get you pulled over rather too often. Depending where you live it can be pretty anti-social too, but maybe different in the OP's location.

Res and turbo muffler delete, I get. Res and exhaust muffler delete plus early morning starts at work, would definitely not go down well where I live.
