replacing dipstick holder?

Whilst I was checking the oil on my cupra, the orange dipstick holder disintegrated in my fingers!
I have purchased a new one and hope to fit it over the weekend. Is it easy to replace? Thanks in advance Dave

Yes it is make sure its the right way up and that all of the old one is out of the inside of the tube and give it a good solid tap with the palm of your hand. And that should do it.

if its the same as the lcr i did mine last week take the 2 hex bolts out of the manifold metal gard and lift it up t.the dipstick is attached to the metal guard so you got to pull it all up in 1.dont bang the new dipstick on becouse you have got to put it in the metal guard 1st then push it on alittle bolt the guard back on and then push the dipstick cover down and aline with the hole in the manifold.

you get all the dipstick in 3 pieces 1 bottom metal tube. 2 the orange plastic dipstick cover. 3 if you want a new dipstick as well about 12-15 quid all in from the stealers.

Dont think so. I think i need to change just the orange tube (and dipstick). Lets say i have pressed the tube with my elbow when i was looking for boost leaks hehe. Disintegrated.
