Any tips on getting the arms off, I undid the nuts doused ithe thread in wd40 and pulled on it pretty hard but any harder felt like something was going to snap! I am worried about destroying something but need to get under the scuttle pannel to check the earth points/ecu. Anything Im doing wrong or is it just a case of yoinking it?

As above or you can try lifting the wiper then rocking it back and forwards to break the seal of it on the splines of the motor spindle.

Are you on about the fronts mate I take mine off during summer time and have rain x on , if ur on about the front you have to undo the nut then push the arm towards the windscreen on the hindge part this will lift it from the spindle then just wiggle it up and they come off there is a knack to it but it's easy Once done once

Yes the fronts, have tried but they seem stuck fast, Im pulling so hard that I can feel everything under the scuttle pulling up too and I dont want to break it so will try the tool for removing, getting one of ebay now

You really don't need a tool mate they just need to be pushed towards the wind screen and wiggled a tad don't pull them as they get tighter , ur see the hindge part can get pics if you like ?

If they have never been off you will need the tool, i did, thankfully a mate as one for his work.
And like Ricardo something would have snapped before it came away from the spindle.

As above, turn the wiper arm towards the windscreen ensuring you dont smash in to your windscreen lol, then pull the wiper arm up with force... it ill feel like you're about to snap something but you'll be ok :)

removing Toledo wiper arm - success

guys can I just say thank you for this little feed - I just replaced my NSF wiper arm on my 03 Toledo, and after putting the hammer and WD40 away and actually pushing the sprung part towards the window, removing the thing was loads easier. No specialist tools required at all. Thank - you!

Mines had never been removed and I removed mine so I could respray them and without the tool, I just hit the top were the nut was with a rubber mallet then lifted the arm up and down a few times and they came off.

Bend the arm up, then use the sturdier part of the arm to yank on.

You've got to give it some welly, I did some the other day, just years and years of seized on crap!
