If you can't see where it bolts in - pop the trim off & undo.

however - if you retain your seats the car is illegal.

or maybe in italy they don't have the UK MOT Test which states that each seat must have a legal seatbelt

not only that but the mk3 ibiza is homologated as a 5 seater, assuming those seats are there, it MUST have 5 belts.

Because in Italy, our cars aren't homologated only for passengers, but also to carry some goods...
We can leave all the seatbelt but not the driver's seatbelt.

You should be able to find what you want by searching for the MOT regs on the net

cus - my car passed fine with one drivers seat, one seat belt & all the rest binned.

http://www.seatcupra.net/~mark/new/cage.htm

just as long as the 2 belts you retain are BS or E approved then you're OK

if driving with 3 point harness expect to be stopped for seat belt offences as they can't see that you're 'in' from behind

I want to fit 3 point harnesses in my mk4 ibiza. The original seat belt bolt for the driver (locater at bottom pillar side) is hidden under neath a plastic cover that runs full lenght of the car. Has anyone seen if it is just a standard bolt underneath before I start ripping my interior out.

cheers

All are just standard 17mm bolts, I've got harness's and rear seats in for show use only, not been hassled yet but I can see if I get stopped I will however no one ever goes in the back so no one will ever be sat there when pulled.
