what do i need to plug off to not affect my engine?
heres a pic of my bay to help. I think theres a Vacuum return pip that goes into the throttle body. Do i need to plug that off?
yeh it's a 1.8 lol, sorry for the confusion, its the ADL lump, the charcoal canister goes down by the driver's side wing, there are a couple of pipes going in to it and i wanna disconnect it as it does nothing for the performance, it's pointless
lol that round goes to him, anywhere i can move it, it fell out of my car the other day and dragged along the ground :S, its cable tied around my CDA at the moment
got rid of mine - no problems - as has been said, it collects the vapour from the fuel tank, stores it adsorbed t the carbon, and then when the engine is running to temp, a valve is opened and the engine sucks some of its intake air through the canister and dries it out again.
You need to keep the vent from the tank open but could put a rollover valve and a small K+N on it - to be safe - the tube that goes to the inlet manifold can be blocked off.
But your not supposed to do this....emissions and all that....bit like taking a cat off the car
