Removing Badges

I've had a look in the MK4 threads, and can't find what I"m looking for...so

I want to remove the TDI badges on either side of my car, and I don't seem to be able to do it without leaving the adhesive tape behind. Is there a way to remove them?... just to note, I don't have a hair-dryer as I know these sometimes helps. Unless I can borrow one from a mate...

the adhesive should peel off if you can get under it! just peel it off slow and should come off in one bit

A hairdryer and a credit card comes in handy as well.

Use hot water and your thumb

hairdryer and then dental floss in a see sawing motion has done the trick on mine!!

Hot water from a kettle is perfect using your nails - CREDIT CARDS LEAVE SCRATCHES (well they did on my old car!!) and some sticky stuff remover to get rid of the residual goop. If no sticky stuff remover, just use a little bit of T-Cut, Polish or Bug and Tar Remover.

All i used was:- a kettle full of hot water, dental floss, and some WD40 to remove the sticky residue.

I just dental flossed the badges off then used white spirits and my fingernails to remove the stick pads behind them. Then wash off with plenty of water and polished the paint back up.
