My car has the optional extra Sony/ Seat 6 disc multi changer in the glove box. I would prefer the space in the glove box and am happy to use the CD on the head unit.....

......so, how do I get the 6 disc multi changer out so as I can punt it? How much is it worth?:bleh:

Cheers!

doubt it is worth anything much tbh!! to remove it, pull off the trim around it, this is just clipped on, then you will see two torx screws, remove these and it slides out. You can get a piece of trim that fits in the hole as an additional storage area :)

cheers danny & lee. are there any wires in to the back of the head unit? if not, then can this redundant connection be used for an i=pod connector?

Is there a cheap and cheerful wire that allows you to disguard the 6 CD unit in favour of using your i-pod? If so how much and where from?

Well, its not gonna fit a library of books, but you can get a fair few things in there:

Heres mine from left to right:
  • ODBII code scanner so I can check every couple of days
  • Small flathead screwdriver so I can have a fiddle with things
  • Meguiars Buffing cloth, incase I need to pick up some dust (Cant be having dirt on a black LCR right?)
  • Tissues for picking up the bird crap that seems to be magically attracted to my car
  • Said iPod on head unit cover
  • Driving gloves (ok, they're not for mad driving - just to keep the hands warm )
  • Sunglasses case

You can also just about cram in a coil pack too - just in case :)
