removal of sidelights

Been trying to replace the sidelights on my leon but for the life of me I cannot get them out. Having now lost various parts of my hand I've had enough

I've looked at all the various postings and despite using long nose pliers, screwdrivers,twisting the bit anticlockwise, turning the car upside down, knife, scalpel (you get the picture) they won't budge.

Anyone got any tips, pictures, magical powder etc to get these out.

Just pull, reallllllly hard, (obviously not by the wire though)

Push to one side and pull.
There is a hook on one side - you can only push to the other side...

Yep, they're a real bugger to get out. I used a pair of long pliers with a bent nose. Worked them from side to side until they came out. Scary, but not difficult.

managed to get them out at last and now off to harley street for a skin graft to the knuckles
