Remote Locking

Hi guys,

I have gone through the search option but cant find anything relating to my problem so hoping someone can give me some advice.

On occasions (generally every other day or so) when pressing either the lock or unlock button on my key, the remote locking does not work. I can walk away do something else and come back in 10 minutes and it will work fine

I have checked the key and its not the battery so am assuming it is something to do with the receiver on the car.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can you offer any advice?

Its frustrating more than it is as a problem as I can still lock/unlock the car using the lock itself.

Oh yeah and I have a 2001 Leon Cupra if that makes a difference!

in what way have you checked the key? it sounds like the battery to me

Well whenever the buttons are pressed the light flickers no problem at all. Some days it works fine but others it can be tempramental

Have the exact same problem with my 2002 Leon 1.4 with both my remote keys (standard remote and my flip key remote)
Have also changed the battery and still the same problem.
VAG Com doesn't show any errors or problems either.
