This one is the non remote or solid type key (the immob chip is inside at the base of the metal part) usually need to destroy em to get the chip out which is handy if you get a copied key or a spare one and want to 'make' a remote locking version as below
This type is the remote (or Y type) and is what you will need if you intend having a remote locking key as standard, the immob chip sits to the side of the Y section
the immob chip itself is passive (you dont do anything to it in normal operation) but will need to be either cloned/copied or programmed to the car correctly or the car will just for up for a split second then shut off when you attempt to start it
The remote control (buttoned bit on left) is a 'dumb' unit and is easily programmed to the car wether it is new or used previously, there is a few (loads now) on what to do and how.
