I was just wondering what is the general concensus about getting remaps within warranty period and if people have them have you had any problems with dealer. I am now looking at geting a custom map from bell autos which will be permantant and cant be turned off. Is this wise or should I get switchable map? Car is 56 plate.

Thanks

im also looking at this from bell auto as i live near, i am going to be blunt with my dealer and tell them it will be done professionally and will be of excellent quality not some a generic flash of the chip, then see what answer they give me first. quite a few dealerships are said to still honour warranty periods no problems

Why not ring your dealer and ask?

When I bought my FR the dealer was practically telling me to get it remapped! But its best to ask..

I had my fr remaped as soon as it had 1000 miles on it never had any problems with the dealer even though they knew what i had planned for the car and had done to it infact its now sitting on there forecourt with its remap and eibach springs did'nt effect the trade in price even .
All that said dealers are all different and its going to be upto them how helpfull they will be

1K omg he wish:D if your asking about rash's uprated turbo it's gonna be around 4K+ but that includes all the bits to adapt the engine and a new clutch. i think the standard SEAT turbo cost about 1.2k from the dealer. very glad mine was done under warenty

Well I hope if mine does go its before my warranty runs out. My old 110tdi sport turbo went after about 15k of remapped miles. :(

the turbo upgrade including

ihi/ or / GTRS garret
uprated manifold
custom turbo intake pipe
diesel airbox
diesel maf sensor housing
injectors
4bar fuel pressure regulatoer
4bar fuel pump
downpipe
remap
and fitting (labour)
is gonna cost me a whopping £4100!!!!!! but for an easy 310bhp+ 300 lb ft+

it will be so worth it!

if you dont want to reuine ur car pay the best rates for the best companys simple id go revo or custom code as they have great exsperience with your car and a great reputation and get your car mapped how you want it to drive and faster but more importantly reliably!
