Hey guys just want to know one thing. A mate of mine remaps cars and in my june 02 seat toledo 110 tdi he put a remap in it. I have now sold that and now have a much nicer march 2001 toledo 110 tdi. He says as long as the software etc is the same then he will throw the old file for free. so really just want to know is the software the same? cheers.

my belief is that most remaps done are stage 1 remaps which are generic, off the shelf remaps for a particular engined car. Unless you had a custom map the first time and you had mods on the first tolly I cant see why you wouldn't be able to use the same one. However I am no expert and dont want to blamed for any problems!!
Ah right cool. i'm just really looking to know if the ecu will accept the map from my old toledo. it should do hopefully as i wouldn't have imagined the software will have changed in the space of a year for the same engine. will find out Monday though.
