i would tread very carefully guys the reason Revo/JBS ect etc arent cheap is probably beacause they've developed the maps over years worth of tunning experience!!

The idea of plug n play remap are crazy.....

I know some of u guys are only looking to spend a certain amount which is understandable, but i'd go wiv some1 that has proven experience..

imo ;)

simon34, your sig says that you have a chipped uk reap booked, is that in the near future?
Have provisionaly booked it in for the 23rd march as i will be passing that way but am hoping i will have time to get it done sooner if posible
i do agree with bunnin about sticking with experiance but just because a company is not well known in seat circles shouldnt exclude them but that is why i went to see them do there stuff

I've got mine done by chippedUK. I had my old Golf done by them as well.

Very pleased with both the remap and the service - Jayson knows his stuff and has done loads of VAG 130PD lumps. See Uk-mkivs.net for details :)

wouldnt let your mate do the remap unless you have the money to repair what he blows up. as said before ebay is a money grabbing scam most the time!

Warwickshire once.
Thanks everyone, didn't expect such a response and am happy to have the information.

Gonna have to save some more pennies and get it done propoerly because:-
1) Dont want to replace the ECU.
2) Dont want to replace the Clutch and therefore would need to limit the Torque of the remap.
3) I want a warranty with my remap in case things do go bang.
4) And I am going to tell the Insurance company which will cost.

I think it depends entirely who ur with, and ur insurance background.

Some will charge you just an admin fee to change your details so between £30 - £60

Other will bump it up because they feel your more of a risk. so between £100 - £200
