Anybody recommend a garage for a stage 1 remap?

Is it really worth it?

Anybody had any problems, clutch, gearbox, engine etc?

Cheers.

Another vote for PDT here. I had mine remapped there

He does his own maps and is a REVO agent.

He has a Rolling road as well so you get before and after dyno graphs

PDT sounds like a good shout. How much did it cost u's? Would u say they were VAG specialist?

Cheers lads!

Jamie @ evotune in Durham. Will also be far cheaper then the others and will put it on the rollers if needed aswell.

Sign up for VagCars and you'l get members discount at BFT, I would much rather go there then PDT. I've been to PDT before and wasn't impressed. John at BFT seems to know his stuff and I've never heard a bad word about him. PDT on the other hand, I've not heard much good about them. your choice mate.

Dave at PDT knows the TFSI engine like the back of his hand.
He had a Golf Mk5 Edition 30.

He will live map your car on the rollers and check everything is spot on with vagcom.
For the TFSI engine i would not go anywhere else personally

Cheers lads. Anybody had any problems once mapped? How much power can the standard clutch actually take??
Definitely would prefer a vag specialist. Don't mind paying the extra ££££ for a good job.

Had car mapped at PD tuning over the weekend. 255BHP 273ft/lb of torque. Car drives hell of a lot better. Can't believe I waited this long to get it done. Brilliant results and a proper job done. Cheers lads.
