Remap from Chip Express??

Hi,

i am considering getting a remap for my FR tdi and have come across a company called Chip Express. I am just wondering if anyone has any experience of them, as i like the idea of a plug in adjustable tuning unit, but have never personally heard of this company before.

I have had both types and would prefer a OB port s/w upload any day than a "inline" mod which will NOT get the most out of your car. and some of these cost nearly the same has a pucker remap!! I know you cannot take the remap and put it on another car, but you do want performance?? [the declared? insurance cost will be just the same!]

I would keep away from the plug in units, stick to companies such as Revo,superchips etc remapping isn't something that should be done on the cheap, yes you pay more but you are paying for there experience if things go wrong.

Thanks for the replies, i liked the idea of removing the unit if anything went wrong so it wouldnt void the warranty, but will now be sticking with the good old REVO!.

try bluefin then, you can add/remove as and when you want.
