Model Year 20/21 Remap advice

Recently got my V1 Formentor 1.5tsi and was wondering what everyone's thoughts or experiences are of a remap, looked at options and its either book in with a tuning company or I have seen chips which are plug and play like Race Chips for around £250 which is very good value and I like the idea of being able to remove.

Any thoughts or if you've done a remap, which route did you go? Was the performance noticeable?

Different engine 2.0 310, but we went with Racing Line stage 1 along with R600 airbox, transformed the driveability, performance increase was definitely noticeable
