Red Oil light

i have a problem with my lc when i hit around 5000 revs the red oil light starts beeping at me but when i slow down it goes off. I have changed the oil pressure and level sensors and checked the oil pressure with the gauge and its fine i even gave it an oil change and it still happens the car still runs fine but i dont really want to risk driving it till i have found out what the problem is

Has anybody got any ideas what could be causing this i would really appreciate it!!!!

Oil pick up not getting enough at high revs?

Choked filter (when was it last changed?)
Blocked pickup - there is a mesh screen on the pickup which can get blocked.
Misaligned gaskets or excessive use of joint compound can block oilways - if you've had work done on the engine recently.

My LC did this last night, before i had a chance to stop as i was towing our caravan. Red oil light and a ticking like an old fiesta tappet noise started not long after. a bit worried as it was under load when it did it. thinking remove the sump flush the oil pickup and stick some oil flush in it drop that and refill with a decent oil and see how it runs

Oil pick up pipes are about £8 from dealer so no point in washing them out just change it but dont forget the seal.
we see this a lot at awesome with cars over 100k on the clock. i would say take the sump off change the pick up pipe refit oil flush the system and then change the oil and filter again..

its the top end that looses oil first and the VVT sensor and fail with no oil

Can you buy a vvt sensor and sounding dumb were is it located on the block

Yea you can buy new VVT tensioner it is fitted on the top right hand side of the engine.on the rocker cover. with a electrical plug on a round body for the sensor

found the problem it was the pick up pipe was blocked cheers for the help guys!!!
