Probably an irrelevant question, but does anybody know the purpose of the 2 red LEDs positioned to the side of the interior dipping mirror on/off switch.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yup, what LeonCR said. I'd love to have these in the back too, just gives it a nicer feel. In my opinion anyway.
There is a Seat part for about £13, it's a litttle black plastic part with 2 red LED's. just drill two 3mm holes about 20mm apart in the dome light trim and glue it in, then wire it up to a switched live.
I did this in the rear of my old Exeo, it looked cool.
I know you can get red LED's on ebay for pennies but these ones are the correct brightness for this job so no need to fit resistors to dim them down or anything.
Part number 8E0919063A clicky
Oh wow, nice one, thanks! Can i get this part from the SEAT or Audi dealer? I can just connect them to one of the wires within the rear light section? Is it the same brightness as the front ones?
What are the lights on the face of the mirror for? one glows green when it's switched on but never seen the other illuminate.
He's on about the other hole mate
Ta, had thought this just after posting, typical. The other one is the sensor to pick up the lights behind you. The sensor on the front of the mirror is to detect that it's dark outside.

I've got a dimming mirror on my Cupra but its a bit pointless because it doesnt dim due to the rear window having the standard tinting...waste of money if you paid for it as an added option!
My Supercopa has the factory rear glass tinted and the auto dimming mirror work a treat. Yours must be broken.
