Rear Parking Sensors

Bought a Leon 1.4 TSI a few weeks ago and I'm really happy with it, but the SE model didn't come with parking sensors as standard.

I found that it was possible to have rear parking sensors installed by an official SEAT dealer via the official SEAT website but I think that these are not the same as the factory built ones, as they are much cheaper than I expected. Can anyone confirm this? If these are not the proper parking sensors, does anyone know of a place where the genuine parking system can be purchased and fitted?

Thanks

The sensors are not genuine just a generic kit normally about £200 with fitting.

I got these aftermarket ones fitted to my old astra

Bit more expensive but heard good reviews and liked the fact they have lifetime warranty (sensors easily swapped)

It was £150 all in fitted at my work, worked well.

My son has just bought an identical Astra estate to yours - minus sensors. That's a nice neat job you've done there. Think I'll treat him to a set, as his boot is generally crammed with musical equipment. Ta.

My nearly new Leon had rear sensors fitted by the Seat dealer as part of the deal. They don't gave a display in the satnav but, hey, one is supposed to be looking behind when reversing. I have the display on my other car and never use it. I rely on the sound. The appearance of the sensors on the bumper is not quite as neat as the OEM.

Rear parking sensors are listed in the Leon accessories brochure with a painted and fitted price of about £250.

Scary how much they charge to install sensors when you can buy a standard 4 pod set from Amazon for £11.... I do on all my cars and fit them myself...
So I'm guessing it's about £220+ for labour to fit them..... Outragous really. But I understand some people can't fit themselves for whatever reason..
