I have a seat leon MK1 (standard mk1)

I have recently purchased a rear bumper from a seller on Facebook. Great looking forward to spraying and installing it. This rear bumper is of a Seat Leon Cupra ... Mk1 i believe.

The seller is going to deliver the bumper to my house this Saturday. The seller today has sent me a message. He thinks that because Im changing the bumper to a cupra I will need a cupra crash bar. is this true?

I've had the rear bumper off and there is no crash bar on the back of mine. Did have a pic but lost it somehow, just a metal panel with seat in it. No holes or fixings not used. Front has a bumper support bar that goes across the front, I wouldn't say it's a crash bar as it's so weak but I guess you could say on the front it has one but not the back.
Mine did have a toe bar fitted so maybe they removed it to fit it

^^Will have been removed for tow bar fitting 99% likely. The bar on the front is also a crash bar/bumper reinforcer and yes there should be one on the back too but you won't need to change it. Cupra, Cupra R, TDi, etc all the same crash bar on the rear
