Rear Drums

Ive been trying to remove the drums this afternoon to check on the brake shoes. Ive removed the retaining screw from the face of the drum but cannot get the drum off at all. Its just stuck on solid.

Surely it shouldn't be too tricky... Is there something i'm missing?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,

Bang it with a mallet at various points round the edges - it just needs to be tapped a little bit before it'll pull off.

Have you Tried Taking the Handbreak off? lol

Ive given it a beating with a mallet but still no joy in it coming off, oh and the handbrake is definitely off lol

ur gona need a screwdriver to prise it off.

The drum will have a lip on the edge inside of the drum hence why its sticking.

That lip will need grinding off.

Rosco: I have tried prising it with a screwdriver however it just seemed to be moving the rear section not the actual drum itself, i may have been a bit hesitant as i didnt want to cause any damage but i was giving it a fair bit of force and it just didnt want to budge!

I'll have another look in the morning, I gave up in annoyance earlier lol

give the dru ma wack with a hammer all the way round it.

if 1 screwdriver dont work then try 2.

1 at top and 1 at bottom.

Then try prise it off that way
