Rear Breaks Pads - Bad uneven wear, possibly binding?

Rears aren't Brembos and they don't tend to last very well in my experience. They seem to need binning every 70k miles.

Yeh, they dont last forever. Ive got shopping tomorrow so I'll see how it goes. Not had the car long and the brake discs and pads have been replaced (i estimate) within the last 6 months. Also the nsr calliper looks new.

Ok, i had a look at the car today and it's a knackered caliper.
Waiting for a call back from my local parts supplier but think they may struggle to get one in for me.
Any honest suppliers online i could try?
Im after brand new or recon, no second hand etc.

All sorted. Hand brake mechanism siezed.
New calliper fitted (next day from euros) and all working fine now.

Have you got handbrake return springs? I've had trouble with my offside rear caliper for ages where it wears unevenly towards the hub and noticed I only had one spring on one side. The spring hasn't solved my problem, but it could help stop the handbrake seizing.

Yeh, springs are fitted. No uneven wear here.
That would be caused by seizing caliper slides/pins wouldnt it? Or possibly damaged,bent calliper housing.

That's what's so odd with mine - new springs, checked the caliper pins and they move freely, and the caliper itself was replaced just over a year ago. I'm guessing that when it seized before and eventually needed replacing, the wear on the disc was just enough that the pads are wearing unevenly now as a result. I'll find out when I next change the discs - but they passed the MoT even with the uneven wear, so there's obviously enough stopping power. I've got no idea how to repair a bent housing though.

Easier to buy a new housing if its bent than try and straighten an old one.
If the disc is heavily score on one side and good on the other. That could cause uneven wear.
