Rear breake light cluster

Hi,

I have a mark IV Ibiza which has a failed rear driver's side brake light. The trouble is, after removing the two securing screws in the boot gutter which hold the brake cluster in place, I cannot remove the cluster itself. In the handbook, it explains that you should move the 'pilot to the exterior of the car'. I have tried moving the cluster in all directions, but it will not come out without being more forceful than seems necessary.

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks,

Jo

it has two very strong metal clipson the outside edge ul need to pull out as far as you can (make a tiny gap) and unclip it that way.

why dont you change the bulb from behind without taking the light out?

oh and welcome to the site

Thanks, I managed to get it out by giving the cluster a bit of a 'slap' toward the rear of the car.

Problem solved!!
