Hi all,

My rear brake lights on either side have stopped working, but the long brake light on the boot lid is still working..

Could it be a fuse?

Bit odd for both to go at the same time, normally its one or the other, indicating it may be a bulb?

I havent got a manual with the car so can someone please confirm which fuse(s) relates to the rear brake lights?

Just to add, I'm not sure if the faulty switch would show up in a diagnostic tes, I'm also not sure if that if there is a fault code related to the brake switch and you replace the brake switch if that error code has to be cleared. I'll see if I can confirm, or maybe another member can confirm.

Hi mate, if it was a faulty brake light switch, wouldn't the brake light on the boot not be working either??

Ahh doh, sorry! You did say that the LED light was working in your first post. You're right, if the high level LED lights are working it rules out a faulty brake switch. Your issue could be faulty wiring to the rear lights or a possible bad earth.
I don't have a wiring diagram but there should be a split connection for the LED light and the rear brake lights, I'm not sure where though.
