Dat flow...
Wouldn't personally paint the IC black if you've got a widemouth bumper, I did mine a while back and just ended up looking like a black hole in the car, so now its back to silver :)

The widemouth is going bud. Getting a standard bumper off a member on here next week. Also getting both front and rear arb at the same time :)

Im in two minds wether to leave it or paint it. To be honest just getting the car running again is top priority so will probably get left alone. Yeah when the chance of the arbs came i couldnt say no, been meaning to get it done for a while

Well decided i wasnt happy with the manifold so broke it apart, cleaned it up and started again. Looks like dirt right now with the dodgy tack welds but will be better once done.

Took my inspiration from clubgti so hopefully it works out well

Yeah mate thats the problem i had before, its pretty tight in there anyway and the last owner made the 3" dp himself, he used 3" pipe and a hammer by the looks of it. Ill get pics of it later but thats my next problem to route the dp without fouling the steering column/rack

Looks close to the downpipe that i already have tbh, just mine is vband at the bottom. Need to cut out a section that has been battered with a hammer to replace it with new pipe then looks like thats a good start. Cheers, will help a lot.

Decided now to get the car running with the old bubble gum mani since the daily is nearly out of mot, get this one mot and take my time with building the manifold. Been trying to rush too much and as you all may know, rushing just dont help

Work has been progressing not too bad lately and the car now runs, is completely built back up and nearly ready for mot :)

All this came from inside one wheel arch

Then this, including new brakes, much better

And this is the old pads, glad i changed them haha

How it sits from the front end now

And the engine bay

This will change after mot time, some colour going in there, just desperate to get it back on the road now haha

So plans for now, wait for new silicone vacuum hose to replace all vacuum hoses in the bay, get a non ac aux belt and remove pump, get new bumper painted and on (thanks ginge), get both front and rear arbs fitted (again thanks ginge), mot, then change/ tidy everything up a bit for preference, the battery will also be relocated into the boot, then enjoy it :)

Well been out with the car again today, no pics but it runs well, moves, stops, boosts and makes me smile. I removed the air con pump and replaced the belt with the shorter one.
On my first run today a boost hose popped off as soon as i hit boost in 2nd, so got it jacked up and put the hose back on and tightened and wow, forgot how aggresive it is. So... Its coming into aberdeen to my house tomorrow, scrap the beater that ive been using, then new windscreen next week and mot asap :) cant wait now

They all have a little band tacked on them to keep them on, was just me being stupid and put the jubilee over the band a bit instead of past it ha. Would like to change the boost hoses anyway as they are all a disgrace tbh, cut at stupid angles etc, you cant see them but i know they are there under the hoses haha. Would like to go for solid piping anyway.
