Well everyone heres some progress on my mk3, this will be very slow as im travelling 40 miles each way to work on it (if anyone knows of a garage/ lockup to rent/ share in or around aberdeen let me know ;)) bt heres some pics from before the work starting and up to recent

Current spec list
Ayp engine
IE rods with 20mm pins
Acl race bearings
T3/4 hybrid with .63 housing
S/s custom tubular mani. (New one will be made soon)
38mm external wastegate. (To be replaced with 44mm with new mani)
3" custom downpipe
2.5" piper exhaust system
Metal water pump
Gates cambelt
Toyosports intercooler
2.5" intercooler pipe work
Custom 3" TIP
S3 maf
Mocal oil cooler kit
Stage 3 6 paddle clutch kit
Lightened single mass flywheel
440cc bosch green injectors
Lcr in tank pump
Bosch 044 in line fuel pump
Oil catch can. (New one to be installed)
Battery relocation into boot
Carbon canister removed
N249, n112 and sai bypassed/ removed
Grooved brake discs/ greenstuff pads (312mm setup to go on)
Boost and egt gauges in A pillar
Lowered 30mm
Washer bottle in boot
Air conditioning removed
Powerflex rear bushes

Im not sure the exact spec but from what im led to believe its t3 hot side t4 cold side hybrid.
How can i tell if it is hybrid or not? Haha

Well some very slow progress while im waiting on more things arriving but here goes anyway.

Retrimmed all the cream interior trim with black suede (need to order more to do roof lining)

Stripped all sound deadening from inside boot ready to clean and spray black

Made myself a battery box as im a tight a*se with my money haha

And also started to make brackets for moving the rad backwards

And thats basically all for now.
Ordered some more things off internet so waiting for all to arrive then get cracking. Also hopefully moving lockup soon so waiting to hear back. New place has 4post ramp and spray booth already in and i have compressor, floor press, engine crane and a huge toolbox with basically all the tools i need so should hopefully be a semi professional place :)

I wish it was staying stripped out but everythings gotta go back in to use as the family car when baby comes in a few months. Makes it more of a sleeper though :)

Pillars look good though, still need to do mine, been sitting for ages

Yeah just taking so much longer than i hoped. Mainly due to every time i go to the lockup someone that i share with has f*cked about with my car damaging something or raiding my toolbox. Just very off putting.
Ha i know that feeling, i took them out the car months ago and only got round to doing them at weekend. Still need to do drivers a pillar as it has a cheapo ebay gauge holder on it. Gonna try make it look as oem as possible

I do need to get going dont i haha.
Well not much of an update but ordered a t3 flanged collector off ebay from america as i didnt have the balls to make one haha. Ordered new angle for rehanging my fmic and odered some 3" stainless pipe for making a custom dp aswell. Everything i make will only be tacked by me then a mate is taking it into work for tig welding and back purging.
Booked 2 weeks off work from 15th to get going.

As for the turbo, how do i know if it is hybrid? Only points i can see towards hybrid is very little lag. It is definately t3/t4 but thats all i know.

It was on there when i bought the car mate. Would there be any info on the turbo? Im going out there saturday so will have a check.

Another small update, welcomed mr postie today with a parcel which is my 44mm v-band wastegate. I got it from a company called demon motorsport as i cant afford a tial yet. Hopefully this will hold my boost well and then i can save up for a better wg. Also got some angle to rehang my intercooler further backwards then on the lookout for a standard cupra bumper.
So.. Progress is slow but waiting for more deliveries then will get cracking. Plan is to have her mot'd before the 27th of july

Another very small update, just collecting more parts

Got some angled pipe for making the custom mani, i do have the flanges but no pics justnow

Very small update again, cleaned all the shitty sticky stuff left over from removing the sound deadening in boot and started to put rear interior back in, im now held up as the rear seatbelts are jammed so i cannot put them back in.
Also met a member on here today to leave a deposit for a new front bumper to get rid of my widemouth and both front and rear arbs.
So as said a very small update with no pics but hey every little helps :)

looking good, slow but steady progress! and looks like your putting alot of time and effort in to it so it will all pay off :) i quite like the black instead of cream trim, nice touch.

Very slow for now, things will speed up next week as im off for two weeks. Looking to have it ready for an mot in 2-3 weeks. Tue black interior was something ive taken from a few members on here. Is a very nice touch though

Well the work is beginning now im glad to say. Today i got my radiator mounted further backwards to allow my intercooler to sit further backwards, intercooler is now back on with all metalwork painted black. Not sure wether to paint the cooler itself black aswell, what you all think? Also ripped out the rest of my ac pipework back to the bulkhead, pump still to come out. Then started mocking up my exhaust manifold :). Got the 2 inside runners in place and tacked up, on tuesday will hopefully get the other 2 done then its going to a mates work to get tig welded with back purging.
