it will still be poo over 90 mph.

Totally agree. But it can still deal with most Rep mobiles on the motrway though, and lets be honest, thats all you need!
Especially with a little soot production thrown in too. :funk:

get it remapped as for the vr6 it will blow it away lol your cupra should keep up with a astra vxr to about 110 remapped it will go by it might go by near top end though if your silly enough to go that far .it will suprise you what you can go by :p
A Cupra diesel will not keep up with a VXR to 110 and certainly not afterwards.. No chance.. Same as it wouldn't keep up with a LCR 225.. Remapped yeah.. Standard.. No way!

How would a revo'd PD130 do against these sorts of cars?

I'm awaiting delivery of my FR PD130 at present.

well i have never came across a LCR so cant comment .as for the vxr i thought it would be quicker more noise really lol. another car that didnt impress was a civic type R but then it depends what way its driven . cant wait to test drive one .

my custom-coded pd130 isnt far off a remapped cupra tdi on the 1/4 mile, about .2 of a second, but that was without my FMIC, so probably the same now,

Warwickshire once.
I took an Astra VXR for a spin and was not impressed at all with the take off from 0-60, when I got back in my Cupra I could really feel how quick it is 0-60.
(to be fare I didn't have the sport button pressed in the VXR) However I found the VXR had to be reved so dam hard to get it moving.

I realy didn't like the tiny little rear window (if your going up a hill you can't see what may be chasing you down). I also didn't like the fuel consumption (25MPG on a 45 minute test drive, varying terain and conditions) to be fare I couldn't find a reason to part ex my Cupra TDI for it apart from the fact that it looks quite nice and has good seats.

Exactly right.

Standard ones wont pull on either a VXR or LCR.
Its only slightly faster than a LCR when remmaped.

Never come across a VXR.

Past a ton you'd really struggle, even if you were remapped.

I've got a 20vt FR ibiza and had a wee tussle with my mate in his type R yesterday on a 'private' road we both know very well.......i was suprised i kept with him the whole distance, until i slowed for a cyclist.....

Got to my house and said to him, bet you weren't even trying.....to my shock he replied he was never below 6.5k and using constantl vtec......he was very suprised too......

before anyone states, he uses the full 9k rpm, been in it when he boots it heavy.....

maybe the torque of the turbo was pulling me out of the corners?

DIFT, I gotta disagree with the pulling on an LCR, i would say they are exactly the same fella, there really is nothing in it, i have played with spaniels fr on a few occasions an it is impossible for either of us to overtake when in a straight line...

I never seemed to have a problem with the 3 LCR's ive met on the road, and all the standard ones round Brands hatch.

Whats that got to do with a Ibiza cupra diesel V's a LCR?
Is the Diesel Astra heavier than the VXR???
Is the Ibiza Diesel lighter than the Leon???

what does the cupra tdi remap too? the 888 has 200bhp, 0-60 in under 7s

id imagine it is heavier

i was under the impression we were talking about a standard cupra tdi?

a remapped one would be a little bit more believable, but tbh i still dont think i could see it
