who on here uses the R888's?

are these the closest things to slicks, but road legal?

what is the performance like in the dry and wet?

i use these on my mk3 cupra (running around 210bhp) and they are superb. saying that, ive only been playing with them in the wet as i havent had a dry day here yet but certainly on wet roads they are great. they take about 4 miles of quickish driving to get them warm but after that they stick to the road like glue.
theres a few things annoying with them tho, they are quite dodgy when driving thru standing water, aquaplains ALOT. they arent the quietest of tires and they only last a decent trackday or maybe 3 to 4 thousand miles on the fronts whilst driving fairly quick.
then again if your looking for a really good grippy tire i suppose you may not be too bothered about noise etc. Ive heard a few people say they are bad for tramlining but to be honest its not bad at all.
be warned tho, they dont half kick up stones

Dont personally have them, but know a couple of mates who have them. They are fantastic until they meet standing water. Then youve just got to hope for the best.

They are very much like a slick tyre. Very soft compound, grip like mad, but the second they hit any standing water theres nothing.

appauling in the wet...
i bought mine off a guy who had them on his car... we wrote it off on a corner in the wet and sold them to me...

id use for a track day car only as opposed to on the normal roads everyday
