Quirk with iPod Connector

Just bought my Leon with the factory fit iPod connector. Whenever I switch off the engine restart it after using the iPod, the radio jumps to AM which is quite annoying as actually starting the engine causes interference.

I never actaully use AM so why it defaults to this is beyond me.

Does everyone else's do the same thing?

Cheers

Don't have a fix, but my after market setup (fitted by yours truly) starts playing my iPod immediately from where it last stopped.

It seems the placement and hosing under the drivers seat is the only good thing about the factory setup. Wish the songs titles could be displayed on the heat unit. BMW does this don't they?

*Just had a thought, the radio head unit must be in CD Mode at all times for the iPod to work.*

You need the VW version with the Quadlock connector to fit in the back of your head unit. You can find them cheap on ebay. You can have an ordinary connector or a cradle.

Check this thread for all your answers

Mine does the same, I have just gotten used to pressing the centre button, aux or whatever its called each time. It is a bit of a pain but I am getting over it :).

I dont have any problems with the car other than that and I dont want to create any bad karma or something really serious will go wrong:lol:
